Just Plane Crazy!



This year's competition is called "Just Plane Crazy". It pertains to the assembly of cardboard airplanes and how you would transport them to the hangars to be sent to airports.










Each team must start at their designated spot away from their "warehouse" in which they will be assembling these parts together. They must go through the door, thus activating the tiebreaker points, and use only the robot to put the plane together. Afterwards, you must take it back outside to a rectangle the same color as the warehouse. This is where you get points for attaching it to the landing gear. When all of this has been completed, you will have the opprotunity to hang it onto some metal wires with magnets at the end of them to get your final points. You have 3 minutes to assembly, transport, and hang at the most two planes to achieve maximum points. There are also extra points for picking up FOD (foreign object debris) near your warehouse and moving them out of the way. With this, it shows how real companies must clean up their area of FOD in order to reuse the materials.
