In the fall, the L.I.N.K.S. Team competes in the BEST Competition, which is held annually. The team was orginally created by a group of Lakeside High School students who came together at Fernbank Science Center to compete in the Team America Rocketry Challenge in 2004. With the team's growing interest in robotics and the growth of its membership, they decided to tackle the BEST Robotics Challenge. Ever since then, the team has grown and become a fully active engineering club with members feeding from 10 different schools.
