"I am a 3rd year Mechanical Engineering student in
the Honors Program at Georgia Tech. I am involved with renewable
energy research at school and am applying for an co-op/internship in
that field. I am on the Executive Board of the Students Organizing
Sustainability club and hold the Backpacking Chair position of the
Advisory Board for Outdoor Recreation at Georgia Tech, where I am also
an instructor. Also, I like to build things in my spare time."

Zain Gillani

"I am currently a student at Georgia Tech in the Aerospace Engineering degree program.  I am not currently involved in any extra curricular but I am in the Co-Op program and will be going on a study abroad to Australia, hopefully in the fall of `09."

Aankanksha Angra

"Hello!  My name is Aakanksha Angra and I am currently a freshman at Georgia Tech. I am hoping to major in biology/pre-med with an interest in research and minor in psychology.  Currently, I am involved in the American Medical Student Association, Badminton Club and India Club.  I feel that my involvement in LINKS influenced me in numerous ways. It helped me in learning leadership, organizational skills and communication skills. By volunteering for Science Night Out, I learned how to communicate my ideas effectively with others, which is an important aspect in the scientific field. Using my experiences as a Science Night Out Instructor, I hope to acquire a position as a KIDS club instructor, who teaches elementary school children science concepts via hands on stimulations. This summer, I hope to volunteer at Grady Hospital and Shadow Doctors."

"Right now I'm taking Introductory Physics classes as well as
mathematics for physicists, and will be pursuing a degree in physics
in college. My involvement in LINKS and BEST revealed how enjoyable
and exciting a life of science could be, and greatly inspired my
decision to take up physics. I'm not doing any
extracurriculars this semester, so nothing is happening there."
